When it comes to devising a space-enhancing, eye-pleasing, and jaw-dropping interior design, stunning lighting fixtures are a must-have! Since lighting is an integral element of any indoor space's design, choosing the right fixtures is of utmost importance.
Here, we will help you select the most suitable and modern Semi-flush mount lights for various indoor spaces of your home and workspace. So without saying much, let's see what's in store for you:
WHAT IS A SEMI-FLUSH MOUNT LIGHTING FIXTURE?
Semi-flush mounts are lighting fixtures that suspend from a ceiling or false ceiling. While flush-mount lights stick as close as possible to the roof, a small gap between the ceiling and the fixture characterizes semi-flush ceiling lights.
The slight gap between four to eight inches adds dimension and character to the lighting fixture installation. The gap also allows the fixture to throw the light in a downward direction efficiently.
The excellent downward lighting exhibited by semi-flush fixtures is among the most popular decór lighting fixtures. In comparison with other decoration lights, these fixtures are more suitable. So much so that, from home decór experts to lighting aficionados and lifestyle enthusiasts, everyone loves the looks offered by these simple-yet-sophisticated lighting fixtures!

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SEMI-FLUSH MOUNT LIGHTS?
When choosing the right ambient lighting fixture for an indoor space, the first thing you must consider is the style. Decide what are you looking for- whether you need a semi-flush mount that offers a rustic feel, will elegance be the only parameter you want to get right, or are you looking for an over-the-top design?
Once you decide upon a style, there's a 'size-trap' lying between you and an-eye pleasing design. Buying a semi-flush fixture that doesn't match the indoor space's dimensions in consideration is a wrong move.
Here are the basic rules you can follow when choosing a semi-flush fixture:
Measure the length and width of the room in feet. (Example: 14 feet by 16 feet)
Add the two lengths together.(Example: 14+16= 30)
Swap that value in feet for inches (so, 30 feet becomes 30 inches)
The resultant figure (here, 30 inches) is the ideal diameter for a light fixture in a room.
Start with the height of the room (floor to ceiling) in feet. (example: 10 feet)
Now, multiply the height by 2.5" to 3" per foot. (Example: 10 x 2.5" to 3" = 25-30 feet)
Swap that value to inches (so, 20 feet becomes 20 inches).
The resultant figure (here, 20 inches) is the ideal height for a light fixture in a room.
Depending on various rooms, the distance between the lighting fixture's base and the floor (clearance) will differ. In general, living rooms and hallways need 7 feet clearance.
In bathrooms, you should try and keep more distance between the floor and base of the fixture.
For dining tables, the clearance should be lesser. However, you must choose dimmable semi-flush mount lights, for they'll allow adjusting the brightness by preference and need!
