Construction

These lights are constructed from injection-molded, high-quality, Engineering-grade, retardant thermoplastic. They are equipped with fire-resistant qualities.

 

 

Fire Resistant

The fixture is certified with a UL rating. The Standard for Tests for Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances includes small-scale tests that evaluate the flammability of polymeric (plastic) materials used for parts in devices and appliances in response to a small, open flame or radiant heat source under controlled laboratory conditions.

Illumination

Long-lasting, energy-efficient ultra-bright white LEDs are used in emergency lighting. For optimum light distribution, the heads are made with high-performance chrome plated reflectors and polycarbonate lenses. Red or green LEDs are used in the exit section.

ABS Housing

The fixture is constructed with Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) injection-molded thermoplastic. ABS properties consist of superior hardness, gloss, toughness, and resistance properties, more significant than that of pure polystyrene. The fixture’s capacity to resist heat under emergency conditions allows it to perform at its fullest.

 

During Emergency

An internal solid-state transfer switch allows uninterrupted emergency operation for at least 90 minutes if the regular utility power fails. Within 24 hours, the fully automatic charger starts recharging a discharged battery.
