About Garden Lighting - Outdoor Lighting

LED garden lighting are a set of LED lights that can serve the lighting needs of the gardens well, right from rendering even and consistent lighting to improving security in the gardens.

Gardens have long served as the rare sources of fresh air in the cities. Many people have their own personal gardens or some manage gardens in their society. When it comes to proper lighting in the garden, we still see decades-old metal halide fixtures.

The lights rendered by metal halides is not comfortable on the eyes. It can also pose security issues for night strollers, as goons can conceal themselves in the dark spots caused by its illumination. You need the best outdoor lighting fixtures for your gardens.

LED garden lighting can be a great upgrade. LEDs will save you 70% on the energy bills, compared to metal halides. Moreover, LED lights to come with a lot of great features and a plethora of shapes and sizes. From yards to walkways, there is an LED light for every place. One can integrate solar cells and motion sensors with these lights to make them more energy-efficient and secure.

Main features of LED garden lights

Energy-efficient: LEDs are the most energy-efficient lights you could get, thanks to the most energy-efficient solid-state electroluminescence process. Light generated from the LED diodes is because of energy level shifting.

LEDs convert only 5% of total energy to heat, and the rest of the energy converts to light.

Motion Sensor: Some LED garden lights can be integrated be motion sensor technology, which can help improve the security in the garden.

Dimmable: Garden lighting fixtures also come with dimmable options, which helps bring down the brightness of the fixture by 10 volts. They work with compatible dimmer switches.

Long-lasting: LED lights are extremely long-lasting. They last up to 50,000 hours, which means that on average usage, they can last as long a decade.

Dusk to Dawn Sensor Compatible: These lights are capable of dusk to dawn sensor integration. With dusk to dawn sensors, one can automate the switching of these lights based on the sunlight intensity.

Eco-friendly: LEDs do not emit UV rays, the primary source of attraction for bugs and insects. They also do not contain mercury or any other lethal material, so they are very easy to dispose of.

Some garden lights are capable of running on solar panels, hence also known as solar garden lights.

Types of Garden lighting

LED Corn Bulbs- Available in 20 watts, 60 watts, 100 watts, and 125 watts, LED corn bulbs get their names from their resemblance to corns. These lights are an energy-efficient replacement to metal halides fixtures, as they render a high lumen output in a 360-degree fashion.

LED flood lights- Available in two color temperatures; 5000K and 5700K, LED flood lights are a great choice for garden lighting. They can be beneficial if you need lights for wall washing, wall grazing, and shadowing.

LED solar flood lights-  Available in three wattages; 15 Watt, 30 Watt, and 60 Watt LED solar floodlights are floodlights that run on solar power.

LED pole lights: Also referred to as street lights, shoebox lights and area lights by many, LED Pole Lights are available in the wattage range of 35 watts to 300 watts. They are also available in three color temperatures 3000K, 4000K, and 5700K.

LED wall packs- LED wall packs find their applications in building exteriors, parking lot areas, walkways, etc. They are available in four color temperatures; 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 5700K. As the name suggests, these lights are specifically designed for wall grazing.

LED solar street lights- These street lights are powered by solar panels and are available in three wattages; 20 watts, 40 watts and 60 watts. The solar panels are available in three capacities; 50 watts, 90 watts, and 110 watts.
