Once you get done with the tube fixing, connect the power cord (Sold Separately) to the tube.

Yes, they can be hung by a chain if you want to hang them like that. However, we do not recommend doing so if you have to alter the light in any way as the warranty will no longer be valid if you do so nor do we provide chains for these lights.
can you connect the T8 4ft 30w and T8 8ft 60w together to equal 12'?
You can connect the 60W integrated with 4ft 22W and 2ft 10W. It's not compatible with 4ft 30W.
The 30W V-shape LED Tube product specification claims a 120 degree beam width, yet the product features illustrations portray a 240 degree width. Inexplicably the lower power 22W V-shape LED Tube product specification and feature illustrations show a 180 degree beam width which is 60 degrees greater than for the higher output 30W Tube. Pictures of both products show similar V-shape internal substrates for the two rows of LED chips with only differences in the quantities and output flux of the chips. Please clarify the definition of the beam width specification and explain the apparent discrepancy in ratings of the two similar V-shape Tube products.
All 2835 type led chip itself has an "optical beamangle" of 120 degree; since the V shape has 2 rows towards different direction, for the whole tube it has "visual beamangle" of 240 degree.
How long are the connecting cables

No, its not mandatory to use the connecting cables to join the tubes. They can be integrated into each order.
